News: Show galleries to re-open on 19 June

However, safe management measures must be implemented to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission.

Developers can now look forward to re-opening show galleries and resuming business activities from 19 June as Singapore moves to Phase Two of re-opening.

However, safe management measures must be implemented to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission, according to a circular from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

Maximum capacity at a show gallery and show unit, for instance, will be based on 10 sq m per person. Viewings at show gallery will be by appointment only, with no more than five persons per group, which includes salespersons.

Developers are also required to use the SafeEntry system to record the check-in of all visitors who must wear a mask. They should also ensure that groups have a minimum distance of 1m between them, and inter-mingling of groups are not allowed.

High-touch areas should also be regularly cleaned and sanitised, with appropriate measures in place to minimise contact with surfaces.

In line with this, the URA revealed under its frequently asked questions (FAQs) that developers can access their show galleries to prepare them prior to reopening, “subject to a cap of three persons for a maximum of three hours once a week”. Safe-distancing measures should also be observed such as the wearing of mask and maintaining safe distancing.

“As the situation is still evolving, please continue to keep abreast of the latest announcements by the Multi-Ministry Task Force and take immediate steps to comply with any new requirements. We seek your understanding and cooperation to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19,” said the URA’s Controller of Housing.

Meanwhile, to facilitate contact tracing,  real estate salespersons (RESs) must keep a record of every person they meet during physical viewings or meetings.
